PULS
Synopsis
Luise Berger (Claudia Hübschmann) is a successful theatre actress who directs every moment of her own life. Then she has to go into a municipal hospital to wait for an operation, and the everyday routine of the ward – Nurse Sybille, Dr Jacobi, the rituals of care – begins to crack the glass bell jar between her and the world. The short film “Puls” (Germany 2015) by Till Gerstenberger shows a woman losing control over her carefully constructed role.
Fifteen minutes, shot on 16mm at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin from a screenplay by Susanne Heinrich, camera by Katharina Schelling. It premiered on 22 October 2015 at the Hof International Film Festival. At Around the World in 14 Films it was shown in Berlin in 2015 in the German Night section.
