About the cinema

The delphi LUX is the newest cinema of the Yorck Kinogruppe and has been part of the cultural life around the Kurfürstendamm since 2017.

The design comes from the architecture practice Bruzkus Batek. Each of the seven screens brings different materials and colours to the fore; the practice received the FRAME Award for interior design for the work.

The programme has won prizes too: two years after opening, it took the top prize for the best annual film programme at the German government’s cinema programme awards. What is shown ranges from the small outsider to the crowd favourite, in original version as well as dubbed, alongside special events, film talks and festivals.
