The World Cinema Festival extends its heartfelt thanks to all partners and supporters. They made the 20th edition of the festival possible. AROUND THE WORLD IN 14 FILMS 2006–2025: For the 20th time, the independent Berlin film festival AROUND THE WORLD IN 14 FILMS presents cinematic highlights of contemporary world cinema from November 28 to December 6, 2025, at the Kino in der Kulturbrauerei, as well as the delphi LUX and Neues Off cinemas. The festival thanks all partners and supporters for their powerful commitment and unwavering loyalty, especially its premium partners: audio specialist beyerdynamic, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, television broadcaster ARTE, and cinema operator CineStar. A special thank you goes to post-production house BASIS BERLIN for sponsoring the prizes. A heartfelt thank you to all our partners: the renowned law firm Dentons, the Berlinale's World Cinema Fund, the creative agency Chest of Wonders, the Yorck cinema group, the restaurant Bonvivant, the agency Fitz + Skoglund, and the PR agency Jelly Press. Thanks also to our supporters AG Filmfestival, European Film Academy, Casting Network, and Woloho. And many thanks to the members of the sponsoring association.
“Twenty years of film festival in Berlin – you can’t achieve that without joy and friends, energy and partners. We are more than grateful to our new and old partners and supporters, because only they make it possible for AROUND THE WORLD IN 14 FILMS to continue bringing world cinema à la carte to Berlin even after 20 years. And we welcome four new partners to our side: beyerdynamic, Dentons, Chest Of Wonders and Bonvivant,” said festival directors Susanne Bieger and Bernhard Karl.
The 20th anniversary edition of AROUND THE WORLD IN 14 FILMS concludes on December 6, 2025, in Berlin with the presentation of the BASIS BERLIN Postproduction Award and the closing film, "Nouvelle Vague" by Richard Linklater, USA. The celebrations continue with the subsequent festival tour in Munich (December 8–13, 2025, City Kinos), Cologne (December 11–17, 2025, Odeon Kino), and Nuremberg (January 2–7, 2026, Filmhaus Nürnberg).
